    Description

    After a lot of back and forth, I’ve decided it’s finally time to move on from my converted Sprinter van. I’ve had this van for 3.5 years and 60,000 miles, and it’s taken me to every corner of the country in every season of the year. This is the mid-size 140 wheelbase, so it’s big enough to stand in and have room to move around, but still small enough to fit in a standard parking spot. Engine has no blowby, no Sprinter black death. It’s been a trooper through 110 degree days down to 0 degree mornings. It’s seen a bit of light off-roading as well as its fair share of ice and snow. I love this van, but I want to go in the direction of a truck and camper setup. Please read the entire ad!
    FEATURES
    100W solar panel with 110AH Interstate battery and Wirthco battery isolator
    The electrical system will charge from the sun and from the engine as it runs. The isolator will automatically disconnect your house battery from the starter battery once it gets low, but you can also use the house battery to jump start the van if the starter battery ever dies. The house battery was replaced within the last year and the starter battery was replaced when I bought the van.
    400W inverter
    USB and 12v outlets in front and rear
    12v diesel heater
    Connected to an external diesel tank. The van’s electrical system is more than enough to run the heat all night if needed. I have camped down to 15F and stayed super warm

    One faces toward rear traffic, and one points down at rear bumper for parking. They are powered manually by a switch on the dash so you can choose to turn them off at night or keep them on.

    I always hated the Dodge front grille and these vans are MB underneath.
    QUIRKS
    I was in a light rear-end accident. As a result, the rear bumper fitment is a little off and the lower tire carrier has been deleted. Title is clean, but I’m not sure if an accident will show up on any reports.
    The paint shows signs of patching from places where I’ve sanded/grinded and resprayed areas of rust on the body. I wanted to get ahead of any small rust spots that were on the van when I got it before they got out of hand. As of now the only remaining rust spots are very minor near windows and difficult to reach places. It’s a healthy van, but it’s a bit patchy as a result.
    The driver’s side step is cracked as shown.
    The cruise control is intermittent. I assume one of the wheel speed sensors is out of adjustment, but I’ve never looked into it since I bought it.
    The passenger mirror housing is cracked, and it looks like it was attempted to be fixed by the previous owner. It still works fine, but it wobbles at highway speeds.
    I have two keys, but only one of them is chipped. I believe my copy can be programmed, but I could be wrong.
    MAINTENANCE/REPAIRS
    Biggest issue I experienced was a blown intercooler hose which was an easy fix. Other than that, it has been pretty reliable. Below is everything it has had done in the time I’ve owned it.
    New AC compressor, condenser, drier + recharge
    Upgraded front Koni shocks to reduce body roll
    Replaced inner and outer tie rods
    Transmission service right when I got it. Should be due for one again soon.
    Replaced fuel filter 15,000 miles ago. It’s good for another 15,000
    Major engine cooling service done 15,000 miles ago
    Fan clutch, water pump, serpentine belt, thermostat, tensioner, pulley, coolant flush
    Replaced all radiator hoses and intercooler hoses
    All brake pads and rotors replaced before my last trip about 10,000 miles ago
    New front wheel bearings pressed in
    Front stabilizer bushings replaced
    Changed blower motor resistor
    Replaced e-brake cable
    Upgraded to newer style tail light circuits
    You’ll probably notice many Sprinters that have non-working lower tail lights. These boards fix them.
