    Globidens Mosasaur:
Mosasaurs are an extinct group of large Marine Dinosaurs that probably evolved from a group of aquatic Lizards known Aigialosaurs in the Early Cretaceous.  Mosasaurs lived from 100 million years to 20 million years ago during the Cretaceous period. After the extinction of Ichthyosaurs and the decline of Plesiosaurs, Mosasaurs became one of the most dominant marine predators in the ancient seas.
Mosasaurs breathed air, were powerful swimmers living in the warm shallow inland seas during the Late Cretaceous. They gave birth to live young rather than returning to the shore to lay eggs.
Large mosasaurs were typical longer than 25 feet. Currently the largest Mosasaur skeleton in the world is on display and is just over 43 feet long.
Mosasaurs ate mollusks with shells similar to that of Ammonites
which were abundant in the Cretaceous seas as well as fish, turtles and even sharks.
Mosasaurs had double-hinged jaws and flexible skulls resembling those of modern reptiles.
